The Moment Maria dreamt about being a wedding + elopement photographer
The Moment Kenrick dreamt about being a wedding + elopement Videographer
Kenrick and I got married at a young age after finding out we were expecting.
We felt a lot of pressure from both sides of the family. Our union didn't feel like it reflected us, our values, or who we are individually.
When I started my photography journey four years ago, I knew that I wanted to celebrate unconventional weddings and elopements.
We put a lot of intent into everything we do. Photography gave me a sense of independence, purpose, and belonging.
I allow myself to take up space and be visible as my authentic self filled with heart.
Being able to relive those moments brings joy and appreciation of what happened in that point of my life.
I wanted to be bring that to others.
I wanted to make a safe space so everyone can have that.
Everyone deserves to have their story told and for them to share it for generations to come
When a pastor said some bias and hurtful comments about a couple getting married.
I knew that I wanted to be a safe space.
When I look back at old photos/videos.
